Acra's Vertical Variable Speed Milling Machine is engineered for precision and durability. The spindle unit, available in R8 or NST30 configurations, is crafted from a single piece of Ni-Cr alloy steel and supported by two precision angular contact bearings and one ball bearing, ensuring rigidity and smooth operation. The inner taper is hardened and precision ground for long-lasting accuracy.

The milling head gear and quill feature a hardened and ground spindle that runs quietly and smoothly, free of noise and vibration. Dynamically balanced pulleys and precision bearings contribute to the machine's superior performance. The powerful 3HP spindle motor and spindle back gear, which runs in a grease-packed housing, provide ample cutting power while minimizing fatigue and noise.

The machine's rigid head tilting system, featuring Acra's patented head knuckle design, greatly enhances stability and rigidity when the vertical head is tilted at any angle. With 6 t-bolts locking the knuckle to the ram, this design outperforms the traditional 3-bolt system. The adjustable backlash nut system, incorporating a unique double-nut design and enlarged contact face, ensures long-term accuracy and easy backlash adjustment.
