The spindle unit, available in R8 or NST30 configurations, is made from one piece of Ni-Cr alloy steel and supported by precision angular contact and ball bearings for maximum rigidity. The milling head gear and quill feature a hardened and ground spindle, dynamically balanced pulleys, and chrome coated and mirror ground quill for quiet, smooth operation.

The machine's rigid head tilting system, with a patented head knuckle design, greatly enhances stability and rigidity when the vertical head is tilted at any angle. The adjustable backlash nut system, with its unique double nut design, ensures long-term accuracy and easy backlash adjustment.
