The universal gearbox, with oil bath lubrication and heat-treated gears, enables the cutting of inch, metric, module, and diametrical threads. The output shaft is designed with a safety pin for added protection. The headstock features chromium molybdenum steel gears that are segmentation treated and precision ground, ensuring optimal performance and longevity. A forced lubrication system keeps the gears well-lubricated for smooth operation.

The tailstock is equipped with a quill made from chromium molybdenum steel, which has undergone segmentation and precision grinding. With a 2-3/8" spindle and 6" of spindle travel, the tailstock provides ample support for longer workpieces.
