The bed ways are induction hardened and precision ground, providing a durable and accurate foundation for the carriage. A precision hand-scraped removable gap allows for increased swing capacity, while Turcite B coating between the bed and carriage enhances smooth movement and reduces wear.
The spindle is supported by two precision taper roller bearings and one ball bearing, ensuring high rigidity and accuracy. The dynamically balanced, hardened, and precision-ground spindle features a D1-6 spindle nose and a generous 2-1/6" diameter bore, accommodating a wide range of workpieces and tooling. The apron and saddle offer automatic feed and threading capabilities, with fully interlocked mechanisms and a convenient saddle and top slide locking system. A 4-way tool post provides quick and easy tool changes, enhancing productivity.
